Mommy, is that a snake?!

Recently, we went to Lake Sinclair to be with a group of friends. Caleb really enjoyed being in his little boat. Gracy and I got pulled behind a ski boat on an inner tube. She hung on the whole time, but I fell off at the end. It was a lot of fun. Three snakes approached the dock at different times and scared the swimmers. The valiant men dispatched all three with with a handful of shells. Caleb talked about the snake the rest of the day. Hope all is well with all of you!

I love you Daddy! ~from "Ca-bob"

We celebrated Father's Day at Rick and Susan's house [Gracy's parents] and Rick cooked some chicken on the grill. Caleb had fun swimming in his wading pool; even his truck went for a swim! We were also celebrating Rick and Susan's 35th wedding anniversary. Congratulations, Mom and Dad!

Let's get together!

On Friday night, June 16th, we had a gathering in our home with close friends and family members to share with them the work we will be doing overseas. Several drove long distances to be with us. It was a very encouraging time. Thank you to everyone who was able to be a part!

WOOK!

One of Caleb's new things is to alert us when he has done something special. It started with him balancing grapes on the edge of his tray. He will cackle and squeal and say, "WOOK! WOOK!" Recently, during lunch, we looked over and he had this piece of a banana balanced on his head! Just today, we looked over and he had linked these legos together!

Cultural Exhibit

Recently, Gracy and I attended a cultural exhibit in downtown Atlanta. We were there a couple of hours and got a taste of Asian culture. In the photo on top, we are posing with an artist who painted this picture for Gracy. In the photo on the bottom, representatives from an ethnic minority group in Asia are performing a song.

Aunt Mary and Uncle Lewis

We recently learned that Gracy's aunt Mary has lung cancer. This past Saturday, she and her husband Lewis [shown in this picture] decided to renew their vows. It was a meaningful service. Their love for each other was a special thing to behold. Gracy and I hope to develop that depth of love over the years we are together. Here we are with Lewis and Mary at the reception following the service.
